Backpack Surprise Notes
A Little Love Goes a Long Way
Back to school is a big deal. There are so many little things we can do to ease the transition—and one of the simplest is a surprise note tucked into their backpacks.
A handwritten note shows your child they're on your mind during the school day. It's a tangible reminder that someone cares, believes in them, and is rooting for them—exactly what they need when the day feels long or overwhelming.
The Simple Solution: Backpack Surprise Notes
What You'll Need:
How It Works: Print and cut out the notes. Slip one into your child's lunch box or snack bag each day. Short, sweet, and surprisingly powerful—a little love that arrives exactly when they need it.

Even in the summer my kids go to bed on time. They wake up really early no matter what time they go to bed. They (and I!) need their sleep to function! -G.F.
With little kids who wake up early either way, I try to stick to regular bedtime as much as possible throughout vacation. Yom Tov time with late meals is much harder...

My kids were never off schedule! -Rivky L.
We never got out of our routine to begin with! My kids don't do well with less sleep.
-Golda K.
When the calendar falls out like it does this year, with Rosh Hashanah so soon after the school year begins, I don't put too much emphasis on an earlier bedtime. I try putting the kids to bed about half an hour earlier and they can usually fall asleep easily because they're waking up earlier for school. Otherwise, I don't push it. Let them enjoy the season and make bedtime earlier again when real routine starts again, after Sukkos!
